About Zoe
My name is Zoe and I am a second-year student at UVA. My intended major is human biology and I aim to one day become an oncologist. I have 4 years of tutoring experience in both math and science and have worked with kids in elementary, middle, and high school. I am passionate about teaching and take great pride in helping students achieve their academic goals. I also enjoy the opportunity to meet and work with new students, tailoring my approach to suit their unique learning styles and needs.

A typical lesson plan starts with a brief review of previous topics, followed by the introduction of new material aligned with the student’s curriculum. I then guide students through problem-solving exercises, increasing in complexity, and finish with a short recap to reinforce key takeaways. What sets me apart is my ability to adapt explanations to each student's learning style, ensuring they feel confident in their skills. My lessons are geared toward high school students, particularly those seeking to improve their proficiency in math and science, whether for exams, coursework, or personal understanding.
