About Chaina Nickole
I see writing as the vessel that it is: one by which emotions can be explicated, information can be ingested, bipartisan laws can become blind to bias, and the longevity of legitimate businesses can be levied. Resultantly, it has become my expressed goal to utilize my passion for writing to help others better communicate their messages to their audiences.
For nearly two decades, I have proven proficiency in each of the following areas, among others:
→ Creative Writing (poetry and poetic prose, unique first-person reviews, blog posts)
→ Academic Papers (including work with TEFL students)
→ E-Journalism / Blogging (reviews, industry/product-based education, biographical spotlights, opinion pieces)

Good day!
As an English writing coach focused on editing and proofreading, I conduct most sessions remotely. Typically, we begin with a brief consultation regarding your needs, which can take place over email or via video chat. In most cases, I help perfect your written work through a combination of editing and proofreading on my own time, followed by a step-by-step review of those edits over live video chat with you. I find this method to be beneficial for three reasons:
1. It allows me the space I need to review your work as objectively as possible.
2. It gives you the space to ask questions or make amendments if a particular edit is unclear or doesn't suit you.
3. It provides you with tools to write an even better first draft the next time!
I am able to help with a variety of writing projects, from 5th grade English papers, to technical training manuals, and even fictional short stories. The possibilities are endless! If there are words involved, I can help you find the right ones to relay your message.

Details
Because I edit and review independently before meeting with you for our session, that time is included in the hourly price. One hour covers the review of up to 4 pages of your writing on my own time, in addition to our online tutoring session. A 20-page paper, then, would require a 5-hour package that would include editing, proofreading and our online session. In every case, we will take as much time as we need to go over the edits during our session; it does not have to be limited to one hour.
Travel expenses are only listed in the event that online tutoring is not a viable option for you.
