Every moment is a teachable moment. Therefore, using the events and experiences that mean the most to us, are always the best topics to use while developing our lessons.
A typical ESL lesson with me will always challenge the learner to improve their four skills in English. These lessons will usually begin with an interesting leveled text, whereby I can correct pronunciation. Next comes comprehension questions and vocabulary practice. After that, I will show a short video on the same topic, followed by some questions that will require typed answers. Finally, I will focus on weak areas that were revealed during the lesson and perhaps assign some homework if so desired. My lessons are for grades 1-12 and even adults!
