About Natasha
Technique is not merely about repetition but about understanding the physics of the instrument. I treat posture and hold as the most critical aspects of playing. Your progress is measured through a monthly progress report shared with parents. We focus on the essential pillars of rhythm and timing, ear training, and tuning by ear.
I also guide you through shifting positions, sight reading, and intonation exercises. This clarity of focus makes the complex task of playing a concerto feel attainable. We keep the process honest.

Instruction in the violin requires a blend of rigorous technical focus and aesthetic sensitivity. Having spent 6 years teaching 87 students, I have learned that the instrument demands both discipline and grace.
My MMus from the Schulich School of Music provides the foundation for the precision I expect from my pupils. Performance students and those wanting structure often find my background as an Opéra de Montréal chorister helpful for their own development.
I understand the tension between technique and artistry. You will find that I am a demanding yet patient guide for your practice. My methodology ensures that every student develops a SUSTAINED AND ROBUST TECHNIQUE.
