About Valentín
Hello! My name is Valentín Sánchez Piñero, I am 29 years old and currently based in London. Over the past four years, I have been studying and working in the UK, after previously living, studying, and teaching in Germany. With more than 10 years of teaching experience, I have had the joy of guiding students of all ages and levels. My students have consistently developed strong technical and musical skills on the violin, while enjoying the learning process and giving me very positive feedback throughout. I offer lessons tailored to all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. For children, I usually recommend two shorter lessons per week, as this helps maintain focus and makes learning more enjoyable. My lessons are structured in three parts:
1. Warm-up exercises – I believe warming up is essential. Coming into a lesson without the chance to warm up can make things more difficult, so we always start with simple exercises to feel relaxed and comfortable with the instrument.
2. Scales and études – This part focuses on technique. Every student is unique, so I carefully choose the most suitable repertoire of scales and études to support each individual’s progress.
3. Musical pieces – Finally, we apply technique to real music. Working on pieces not only makes learning more enjoyable but also helps develop musicality and expression in a natural way.
