About Taya
My passion for violin began through childhood experiences with orchestral music and live string performances that inspired curiosity and creativity. This interest led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Music, a Master’s Degree in String Performance, and later a PhD in Performance Arts and String Pedagogy. During the past 11 years, I have helped students from different musical backgrounds improve technique, confidence, and artistic understanding through supportive teaching.
I believe music education should feel inspiring, structured, and emotionally rewarding for every learner. My teaching style focuses on patient instruction, technical clarity, and expressive interpretation that allows students to grow comfortably while developing strong musical foundations. I encourage students to ask questions openly and explore their creativity because confidence develops naturally through active participation and supportive learning experiences.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing chamber music, studying historical interpretations, and exploring different approaches to string performance and musical expression. Staying connected to music creatively helps me bring fresh inspiration into every lesson. Teaching violin is deeply meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students discover their artistic voice and personal confidence through music. My goal is always to support learners in becoming expressive, disciplined, and passionate musicians.

My violin lessons focus on helping students strengthen both technical skill and emotional connection with music through supportive and structured learning. I teach posture, bow control, rhythm accuracy, intonation, sight reading, and expressive phrasing in a calm environment where learners can improve confidently at their own pace. Students learn how technical foundations support beautiful and expressive performance naturally. Every lesson encourages patience, focus, and consistent musical growth.
Lessons are adjusted according to the student’s level and musical interests. Beginners focus on hand positioning, open string exercises, simple melodies, and rhythm development, while advanced learners work on vibrato, advanced bowing techniques, interpretation, and performance preparation. I include slow practice methods, ear training, and guided repetition regularly because consistent practice strengthens coordination and confidence effectively. Students receive encouraging feedback that helps them improve steadily while feeling motivated throughout the learning process.
I aim to create a reassuring atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves through music without fear of mistakes or judgment. Many learners begin feeling nervous about technical challenges or performance situations, so I focus on building confidence gradually through supportive guidance and achievable goals. Over time, students improve musical expression, discipline, and stage confidence naturally. Violin becomes much more meaningful when learners discover how deeply music can communicate feeling and creativity.
