About Weston
I have 7 years of experience teaching violin and hold a PhD in String Performance Education. Throughout my career, I have worked with students seeking stronger technique, improved musical expression, and greater confidence in performance. Helping learners achieve meaningful milestones continues to inspire me.
My teaching philosophy centers on consistency, encouragement, and individualized support. I believe students learn most effectively when lessons are adapted to their strengths and learning styles. Building confidence alongside technical development is a key part of my approach.
Outside teaching, I enjoy studying violin literature, participating in ensemble projects, and exploring music education research. These activities help me continue growing as both a musician and educator. I am passionate about helping students reach their potential and enjoy their musical journey.

My violin lessons are designed to help students develop technical confidence while exploring the artistic side of music. We focus on intonation, bowing precision, posture improvement, tone quality, rhythmic consistency, and musical phrasing. Every lesson encourages steady growth through structured and supportive learning.
Students engage in scale work, technical drills, repertoire exploration, ear-training exercises, and performance preparation. I provide clear demonstrations and practical explanations that help learners understand and apply important concepts. Lessons are customized to match individual goals and experience levels.
I enjoy helping students build confidence in their abilities while strengthening musical understanding. Through patient instruction and constructive feedback, learners develop skills that support both practice and performance. My goal is to create a positive environment where students feel motivated to succeed.
