About Alison
My name is Alison. I have been playing the violin for roughly 15 years, and have played in many orchestras and bands in my time, of all types; Pit orchestras for musicals, ceilidh bands, professional orchestras as well as performing many many solos. I love playing the violin. It is such a passion of mine that I want to pass on to other people. As a person with a neurodivergent brain, I feel I have an ability to understand different learning paces, and different ways people learn as well. We will work together to figure out the best approach for you.

For beginners who have a passion for music and want to learn something exciting. A typical lesson will be an hour long. We will work at a pace that is suitable for you. It is a joint effort. I want to see you love your instrument as much as I do. We will work on technique first, and then we will put your technique into the pieces of music. Having been a tutor for about 2 years, and having helped many people along the way, I have the skills and knowledge to help you learn and love the violin too.
