About Lawrence
As well as a lifelong violinist, I am a pianist, guitarist, singer, actor, bartender, video editor and graduate of Media & Digital Practice.
I have engaged in all sorts of musical activities at many levels, from singing in choirs, small groups and bands, to improvising jazz piano, to self-teaching acoustic guitar, and playing the violin in orchestras and solo, covering classical genres and folk, as well as more modern styles like tango.
I understand music theory and am happy to teach it at a beginner level as well.

Having had lessons myself from the ages of 4-15, I understand what it's like to have the daunting task of making the violin sound beautiful!
I teach lessons in half hour and hour-long sessions, with warm ups and scales, followed by a focus on the pieces you are currently working on, and providing feedback, tips and advice all along the way.
I am happy to teach at beginner level, to students of all ages, from children starting out to any age of adult who wants to learn.
