About Noor

Hi! I'm currently studying Clinical Neuroscience at Virginia Tech, and I've always enjoyed learning and helping others understand new concepts. I love helping my friends with their classes, whether that means explaining a difficult topic, working through practice problems together, or helping them prepare for an exam. Tutoring feels like a natural fit for me because I genuinely enjoy sharing what I know and seeing others succeed.

I know that everyone learns differently, and sometimes a concept just needs to be explained in a different way to make sense. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. My goal is to make learning less stressful, help students recognize their abilities, and build their confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is to break down difficult concepts into smaller steps and explain the reasoning behind each answer. Since everyone learns differently, I adapt my teaching style to each student's needs, whether that means reviewing the basics, working through practice problems, or tackling more challenging questions.

A typical lesson would start by identifying what the student understands and where they need help. We would review key concepts, work through examples together, and practice until they feel confident solving problems independently. I can also help students prepare for exams and develop better study habits.

As a Clinical Neuroscience student at Virginia Tech, I have experience with advanced coursework, including AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus AB. I bring patience, encouragement, and a focus on understanding rather than memorization. I work with middle and high school students at different academic levels, from those needing extra support to students looking to challenge themselves and excel.
