About Shriya
I'm Shriya, a Sydney-based vocal coach with a Bachelor of Music from AIM, trained in both Western contemporary and Carnatic classical vocals. I've been teaching students aged 6 to 57 privately since 2023. I teach students of all ages online, tailoring every lesson to your goals and skill level.
What makes my teaching different is the blend of two traditions. Western contemporary training gives my students strong technique in breath, pitch, and tone, while my Carnatic classical background adds depth in melodic precision and vocal agility.

I do not have a set curriculum for classes. For me, it's all about the student and what they want to learn.
I have a bachelor's degree in contemporary music performance from the Australian Institute of Music. I also have 15 years' worth of vocal training. I have been working with kids and adults for the past four years now.
I focus on vocal exercises, vocal agility, vocal fatigue, stage presence, and a little bit of Music theory. My lessons are usually 45 minutes to an hour, for both kids and adults.
