About Aman
I fell in love with mathematics in college. I attended Stanford University and received an MS in statistics and a BS in mathematics. Additionally while at Stanford I worked through many of the computer science classes but switched to mathematics later on due to the computer science classes lacking rigor/challenge. I currently work on Wall Street as a quantitative researcher where I use mathematics and statistics to trade options. In addition to developing algorithmic trading strategies, I also write lots of code. My primary goal as a tutor is to help you. I teach because I love to teach. However, I would like to say upfront that I will not do your homework for you. I am primarily interested in inspiring and educating my students. I am not interested in just helping them get good grades.

My approach to teaching is to try to show you why and how techniques were developed. Growing up I struggled trying to understand why I should be learning a particular technique. It was only later in life I learned the historical and practical contexts for the mathematics I learned in school. I want to arm you with that context first so you can be excited to learn. My lessons are suitable for all ages/levels. Whether you are struggling to learn to solve algebraic equations or you need assistance solving analysis proofs I am here for you.
