About Farhiya
Arabic is my second language. having traveled to Saudi Arabia, I have come to see how culture varies between countries in two different parts of the Arab world. teaching family members and teaching privately had helped me increase my knowledge and teaching skills.This in itself brings a lot of benefits to me as I can put all the skills i have gained from teaching children and adult beginners into good use. Doing so also gives me a sense of achievement as I know that I have made it possible for those who do not understand Arabic to be able to understand this unique language and use it for their own benefits.
I also enjoy reading magazines and publications in the Arabic language which are generally related to current affairs. Organizing a voluntary placement at a local pharmacy for a few weeks gave me the chance to realise the importance of languages in the job market. Being bilingual provided me with the opportunity to put my communication and interpersonal skills into good use, through translating for customers who were native Arabic speakers, thus allowing me to break language barriers between the pharmacist and their customers.
