About Alya
I am currently doing my TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) degree in a local university. I have always found teaching to be my primary passion and by applying for this private tutoring job, I would also be polishing my teaching skills while implementing what I am currently learning in my degree. I believe everyone deserves easy access to learning English and that is why I would like to make the most use of my skills to share my knowledge and help others master English via this platform.

I found out the best approach in order to learn English effectively is by creating a positive environment to allow my students to be comfortable with me. Second of all, I often use student-centered learning where I will focus on my students' needs and live feedback. As for communicative practices, I will focus on real communication over perfect grammar so students will be able to speak and learn grammar along the way instead of merely learning grammar. These methods often build fluency and confidence for one to speak naturally. As for reading skills, I will focus on real-life materials, like articles, emails, etc. With my experience in teaching and the knowledge I have while doing my TESL degree, I find these methods are the most efficient ones.
