About Halima
I have over 10 years of experience in the theatrical world. I am a self-taught artist who knows how to design hair and makeup, paint, dress sets, color wigs, and build things. I teach advanced acting, improv, and accents at a children's theatre. I have directed several shows, but have a passion for teaching theatre. I teach 3 times a week at my theatre. My students are 9-13 years old. I studied Theatre at Jacksonville State University for 2 years. I currenlty am a student at MSU Denver studying Secondary English (with a concentraion in the teaching licensure program). I'll take the theatre praxis and have the option to teach english or theatre at the high school level.

We will learn the foundations of acting. We will start with. the history of Theatre, where it began, and how it has evolved to what we know Theatre to be today. We will do acting exercises, and we will learn how to develop a character. You will learn Improv 101 and sharpen those skills. We will also dive into accents, Shakespeare, and some musical theatre.
