About Spencer
I’m not only a dedicated history tutor, but also a multi-sport coach, which means I bring energy, discipline, and real-world perspective into every lesson. My background in coaching has taught me how to motivate students, build confidence, and adapt to different learning styles—skills that translate directly into helping students succeed academically. I strive to make history come alive by connecting it to teamwork, perseverance, and leadership, while encouraging students to think beyond the classroom. Above all, I hope to inspire them to stay curious, get involved, and actively engage with the world around them, both in their education and in their everyday lives.

I design engaging, student-centered history lessons that bring the past to life and make complex topics easy to understand. By combining storytelling, primary sources, and interactive discussions, I help students connect historical events to the world around them. My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style, whether that means visual timelines, debate-style conversations, or hands-on activities. I focus not just on memorizing dates, but on building critical thinking skills, so students can analyze causes, perspectives, and impacts with confidence. My goal is to make history meaningful, memorable, and even fun, while helping students improve their academic performance and curiosity about the subject.
