About Davis
I attended Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, Virginia where I took a broad range of advanced classes, achieved a perfect score on the ACT, and earned the AP Scholar with Distinction Award. I regularly tutored many different advanced placement subjects and scored a 5 on AP Human Geography, AP English Language & Composition, AP U.S. History, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Calculus BC as well as a perfect 800 on the SAT Subject Test - Mathematics Level 2. My hope is to use my experiences to help current students achieve high levels of success.

Throughout my tutoring experience I find that it is usually best to start by working through practice questions together to help me identify your strengths and weaknesses so I can better structure our lessons. After that, my approach is built around individualized lessons in your specific weaknesses, instruction on some of the most common deficiencies of SAT/ACT test takers, non-subject matter test taking strategies that greatly improve success, and setting aside time to discuss with me any questions that have stumped you from prior SATs/ACTs or practice tests you have taken outside of lessons. Should you desire additional work outside of lessons I am happy to direct you towards practice problems and free outside resources that I believe will help you get the most out of your time spent preparing. I will also go above and beyond other tutors to help you achieve your goals by analyzing your completed tests outside of lessons in order to optimize our time together.
