About Kiran
Hi, I’m Kiran — a professional fight choreographer and video editor with years of experience working on feature films, commercials, and creative projects. While I specialize in editing high-energy action sequences, I also take on corporate and social content editing, which gives me a broad range of skills to share. I primarily work in DaVinci Resolve, one of the most powerful editing tools used in professional film and television. My tutoring is focused on helping beginners get comfortable with the basics: cutting and arranging clips, adding transitions, working with audio, and doing basic sound design and color grading to make videos look and sound polished.

I believe in hands-on, practical learning. My approach is to guide students step by step through real-world projects rather than just theory. Each lesson includes live demonstrations, practice tasks, and time for questions to ensure everything “clicks” before moving forward.
Typical Lesson Plan
Introduction (5–10 mins): Brief overview of the lesson’s focus (e.g., basic cuts, colour correction, audio mixing).
Demonstration (15–20 mins): I show how to perform key editing tasks inside DaVinci Resolve.
Guided Practice (20–30 mins): Students follow along on their own project, with my support to troubleshoot.
Review & Q&A (10–15 mins): We recap what’s been learned, discuss best practices, and set a short assignment for independent practice.
What Sets Me Apart
I work as a professional fight choreographer and video editor, so my lessons come directly from industry experience. I don’t just teach “which buttons to press” — I share practical workflows, shortcuts, and editing instincts that I use in real productions. Alongside editing fundamentals, I also cover basic sound design and colour grading to give students a well-rounded skillset.
