About Deandre
With a deep love for technique, pragmatic theory, composition, and especially sight-reading, I approach music as both a craft and a journey. If you value the joy of learning as much as the destination, I’d be honored to guide you. I’ve studied classical piano performance and music theory at a variety of institutions, and I’ve taught privately for over 8 years. Along the way, I’ve also worked as an accompanist for churches and colleges across California, gaining real-world experience in diverse musical settings. At my core, I’m a largely self-taught pianist with classical training—someone who built professional-level skills through persistence, curiosity, and grassroots learning rather than formal accolades. This gives me a unique perspective: I connect deeply with students who may feel outside the traditional mold and teach with empathy, flexibility, and understanding.
