'With music, one’s whole life is brightened' - Piano tutor with Lubov

Lubov taught me as an adult from when I was 63 for about four years. She built on my one year of tuition when I was ten, which meant I could read music, but little else. She was patient with me, and gradually transferred some of her great musicality. Duets were a particularly useful teaching aid...Although obviously a very talented pianist, she was very patient with her not very talented pupil, and reignited my interest in playing, both classical and jazz.. I can recommend her highly as a piano tutor.

My name is Hailang Xu, father of two pupils who have been learning piano from tutor Ms Lubov Simon since last summer. They are enjoying the lessons as Ms Simon is very knowledgeable and make plans for what the kids need.

Lubov is an excellent teacher, we have loved having her teach at our school. She is reliable, friendly, loyal and a valued part of our music team. She has a great relationship with the children. She is a talented musician who expects, and gets, consistently high standards from her pupils. I would thoroughly recommend her as a teacher.

Lubov has taught all of my three children piano for several years. My eldest is now working towards his grade 8 which Lubov has expertly guided him towards. Lubov has taught them so much and I highly recommend her .

My two boys have been learning piano since they were 8 and 5 years old. Before finding Lubov, they had different tutors and our experience was really mixed. Lubov was recommended to us by a family friend (whose children are all taking lessons with her) and since then (it is more than 5 year ago now!) our boys have thrived! Lubov is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable but also a very caring person, and our boys are always looking forward to receiving their next lesson. When they started with Lubov one had just done grade 1 and the other one had done the pre-prep exam. In five years the older one is now preparing to do grade 6 and the younger one grade 5. Honestly, they have been completely transformed - musically - thanks to Lubov. Our oldest son has done Music Tech for his A-level, and had lots of help from Lubov on that too.
Lubov is also very involved in charity work, and organises every year a concert where her students perform for parents, relatives and friends, and the funds she collects are devolved fully to a charity. Last year it was the Marine Conservation Society. Previously, her concerts were supporting the work of The Bridge, a charity were volunteers would teach music and other art forms to people who would not otherwise have the possibility to learn. Our kids have always loved to perform in Lubov's concerts. To conclude, I can recommend Lubov as music tutor wholeheartedly and with no reservations.

I started learning the piano with Lubov 18 years ago, and she has remained my teacher ever since. She has seen me, very successfully, through all the graded exams for classical and jazz piano and I can't imagine having learnt piano with anyone else. She is a fantastic teacher and has been a constant support to me throughout the years. She is kind, patient and truly passionate about music & teaching. Her lessons are always great fun and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
