About Lindsey
My bachelor’s degree is in English Language Arts Education from the University of Central Florida. After teaching for a few years, I enrolled at Nova Southeastern University to obtain my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Since 2007, I have taught all English Language Arts grades 5-12, along with other electives such as speech/debate, marketing, and creative writing. I thrive in collaboration and have a proven track record of delivering high-impact instruction that drives measurable student success.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that success isn’t one size fits all. Instead, it’s a personal journey molded by effort, resilience, and growth. I empower students to examine how our lessons are seen in the world around them in an effort to expand their thinking. The texts I select to read and writing prompts chosen are done purposefully so. I believe in a balance between rigor and relevance. Learning should be challenging (in a good way) but also relevant to ourselves and the society we live in.
