About Brittany
Brittany is a Berklee College of Music alumni with a decade of teaching experience. Brittany has taught everywhere from small music academies aimed at children ages 8-18 to large-scale programs such as the School of Rock. While teaching for School of Rock, not only did Brittany teach young children with a newfound music passion but adults ages 20-70 as well.
Brittany takes deep pride in being able to inspire students to pursue their musical dreams and provide healthy vocal techniques along the way.

My approach as a tutor is a student-first approach. What are your goals and how can we achieve them together? I start with vocal warm-ups. This includes scales, vocal trills, breathing exercises, and physical movement ( shaking out nervous energy from the limbs). I like ending the warm-up section with a few deep breaths to settle any remaining nerves.
Post warm-ups we will either go into sight reading and music theory or the student will present a song they have been working on at which point we will fine-tune the performance and vocal technique that is needed for the song.
Each lesson ends with a debrief, what we went over that day, a small lesson plan on how they can practice outside of their lesson, and plenty of time for questions!
