About Nella
I am a dedicated piano tutor with over 9 years of experience teaching students both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, which has shaped my understanding of technique, expression, and musical artistry. My teaching philosophy focuses on active participation, understanding musical intent, and developing well-rounded musicianship. I adapt lessons to each student’s individual needs, combining history, theory, technical skills, and creativity in every session. I work with students at all levels, from Beginners to Advanced, as well as Professional and Expert pianists. My approach encourages both skill development and personal expression, helping students grow into confident and versatile musicians. I emphasize structured practice, performance readiness, and exploring different styles to keep lessons engaging and rewarding. Students benefit from personalized guidance, supportive feedback, and opportunities to perform and experiment. My goal is to foster a deep appreciation for music while helping learners achieve their full potential. My teaching approach is designed to help both kids and adults develop strong technique and a lasting love for playing piano. I guide learners to explore their own style while mastering essential skills like finger independence, sight-reading, and rhythmic accuracy. I also support those looking for therapeutic, mindful practice or a deeper dive into jazz and improvisation. Lessons are personalized to meet each student’s goals, pace, and interests.
I emphasize creativity, expression, and confidence, encouraging students to perform for themselves and others. Fun exercises and structured routines help make progress tangible and enjoyable. I provide positive feedback and celebrate achievements, big or small.
Whether it’s building technical fluency, experimenting with improvisation, or simply enjoying the music, I make every session rewarding. My aim is to help students feel confident, inspired, and excited to play piano every day.
