About Prarthana
An educator for the last 30 years, I started my career with teaching embroidery, and explored its history and the possibilities. I am eager to share my knowledge about embroidery, much of which I have learned while teaching, and creating some fun assignments.

Embroideries create textures,transforming how a fabric surface is seen and experienced.
There is thread, and then there is the warp and weft of a cloth, also made of threads. How do these interact? How strong are threads? How weak?And what happens when there is a knot? How to un-knot a thread? All this and much more, to learn !!
