About Naomi
Teaching maths for 11 years has shown me that success starts with confidence, not formulas. My degree in Mathematics for Data Science helps me bring clarity to complex topics like linear equations, polynomials, and functions. I work primarily with middle school students who need extra support in foundational algebra. Many come to me anxious or convinced they’re “not maths people.” That belief changes quickly once we start working together. I break down each concept into manageable steps, supported by visuals, patterns, and stories. We explore puzzles, real-world connections, and practical examples that make learning stick. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my approach to fit their rhythm and style. Some thrive with games, others with repetition or discussion — and that’s okay. I love seeing the moment when understanding replaces frustration. Building confidence takes time, but it always happens. Algebra doesn’t have to be hard — it just has to make sense.

I believe maths should be more than numbers on a page — it should prepare you for real-world challenges. My approach combines traditional maths skills with financial literacy. My lessons often include short tasks involving data, percentages, or coding-based maths models. This helps students apply learning to real-life decision-making. I believe in step-by-step learning and constant encouragement. Over time, my students develop confidence and independence. Maths becomes a tool for better thinking, not a subject to fear. My goal is to help every learner grow stronger in logic, financial awareness, and self-belief.
