About Luke
I have been teaching piano for 9 years and also work professionally as a composer and performer. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies, which has given me a strong foundation in both performance and creative expression. Music, to me, is a lifelong journey, and I love sharing that passion with my students. I work with both beginners and advanced musicians, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals and skill level. Technique, theory, and musicality are all part of my teaching approach. I encourage consistent practice while making lessons engaging and enjoyable. I explore a wide range of repertoire, from classical masterpieces to contemporary and popular pieces. Improvisation and creative expression are important aspects of my lessons. I aim to help students develop confidence in both solo and ensemble playing. For advanced students, I focus on refining technique, interpretation, and performance skills. My goal is to nurture both skill and a deep love for music. Together, we explore the piano as a tool for expression, creativity, and personal growth.

I encourage creativity and improvisation while guiding students to play with expression and confidence. Listening exercises and rhythm training are included to develop a well-rounded musical sense. I support learners in overcoming challenges and celebrating small victories along the way. For those exploring jazz or expressive styles, I provide techniques and repertoire to help them excel and grow. My goal is to make every lesson engaging, rewarding, and fun. I aim to foster a lifelong love for playing piano while building practical skill and musicality.
