About Ivy
With a MSc in Radiochemistry and more than 5 years of tutoring experience, I teach chemistry with a focus on food and nutrition. My expertise lies in macromolecules such as proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. I guide students in understanding their biological and dietary roles. Food additives are also a major part of my lessons, from preservatives to flavor enhancers. I explain how they work and how they affect health. I place strong emphasis on metabolic processes, making them easier to follow. My lessons include dietary analysis to make chemistry personal and practical. Students often evaluate their meals to see science at work. I also cover food product development, showing how chemistry drives food innovation. Cooking chemistry is another tool I use to inspire curiosity. Whether it’s baking bread or fermenting dairy, I connect chemical reactions to daily life.
