About Vera
I am a Physics tutor with over 7 years of experience and hold an MSc in Applied Physics. My focus is on optics and wave phenomena, including light, sound, and electromagnetic waves. I teach ray tracing, interference, diffraction, and explore their technological applications. Students often come from photonics, telecommunications, or imaging sciences programs. My lessons emphasize step-by-step understanding and problem-solving skills. I connect abstract physics to practical applications, making concepts relevant and engaging. Diagrams, simulations, and interactive exercises are core to my teaching. I guide Architect learners in structured reasoning and Proof Seekers in exploring rigorous explanations. I encourage students to communicate naturally about physics ideas. Lessons are designed to prepare learners for exams and research. I also demonstrate how waves influence technology and our perception of the world. My goal is to make complex topics clear and enjoyable. Together, we explore the fascinating ways waves shape what we see and hear. Physics becomes a lens to understand the world around us.

My teaching methodology is gentle, reflective, and focused on practical exploration. Students are guided in experimental design, data collection, and error analysis. Lessons include step-by-step instruction in propagating uncertainties and interpreting results. Scientific reporting is emphasized, helping learners communicate findings effectively. DIY Scientists are encouraged to explore independently and develop creative solutions. Curiosity-Driven Learners receive support to craft their own investigative methods. Hands-on activities connect theoretical physics to real-world applications. Complex experiments are broken into clear, manageable steps to build confidence. Mistakes are treated as opportunities to refine understanding. I encourage learners to discuss ideas and reflect on outcomes. Students develop independence, analytical thinking, and practical skills. Lessons also highlight the relevance of physics in everyday life. Together, we discover new ways to conduct experiments confidently. Science becomes both meaningful and enjoyable through practice.
