About Robbie
"Having spent 4 years navigating the world of writing and recording, I often find myself listening to the hum of a computer fan while chasing a perfect melody. My BMus from the University of Toronto acts as the bedrock for the creative advice I share.
I have had the privilege of working with 195 students who range from teens to adult learners. Many bedroom producers reach out to me when they hit a wall with their arrangement or top-line writing.
I enjoy helping beginners find their voice while we navigate genre conventions. It is a process of trial and error that keeps things interesting. Sometimes the best ideas come from the simplest chord progressions we explore together. I just want to make sure you enjoy the process."

"Most people think you need expensive gear to write a hit, but the best songs often start with a simple voice memo on a phone. I embrace a real session-style workflow to ensure we stay grounded in actual song creation rather than just theory. When we work on motif and theme development, I make sure we are always building dynamics that serve the story of your track. You can expect us to spend time turning your rough ideas into finished songs by writing to specific briefs or structural constraints.
We will balance the technical side of hook writing with the raw emotion needed for a compelling piece of music. My approach is to treat our time together as a co-writing space where your perspective leads the way.
I focus on how your lyrics and chords interact to create a cohesive sound across your entire project. If we are working on R&B or folk, we look at the specific conventions that make those genres resonate with listeners. Every session is designed to leave you with a clear sense of what to do next. You will definitely leave our time together with a much stronger grasp of your own creative process."
