About Chris
My name is Chris. I'm from Fort Collins, CO. I've been playing music since before I could walk: my first instrument was a toy xylophone. By the time I hit Junior High, I knew how to play piano, violin, and guitar. My interests soon focused on electric guitar, which has been my primary instrument ever since. These days, I also make electronic and sample-based music using everything from synthesizers to drum pads. But I still love playing and teaching the guitar.

I like to meet my students where they are at and cater each lesson to the individual. There is a big, wide world of music out there, and I'm not going to make anyone stick to a certain path, especially if it doesn't feel right for them. I won't make a student who is interested in Metallica learn Bob Dylan. And I won't make a student who is interested in Bob Dylan learn Metallica. I am comfortable teaching virtually all guitar styles through at least the intermediate level. Advanced lessons are offered in blues, rock, and metal.
