What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor What sets me apart is my adaptability and focus on confidence-building. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, pace, and interests, whether that’s passing exams, improving conversation skills, or using English or Spanish for travel or work. I create a supportive, relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking and asking questions. I’m also bilingual, which helps me anticipate common difficulties and explain concepts clearly when needed.

My teaching approach is student-centered, practical, and interactive. I focus on helping students use the language confidently rather than just memorizing rules. Lessons balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with a strong emphasis on real-life communication. I adapt my techniques to each student’s learning style, using conversations, guided practice, visuals, games, and authentic materials (articles, videos, dialogues). I also give clear feedback and encourage students to make mistakes—because that’s how real learning happens.
A typical lesson is structured but flexible:
1. Warm-up – A short conversation or activity to review previous material and get the student thinking in the target language.
2. Introduction of new content – New vocabulary, grammar, or skills explained clearly and in context.
3. Guided practice – Exercises, examples, or role-plays where I support the student step by step.
4. Active use – Speaking or writing tasks where the student applies what they’ve learned in realistic situations.
5. Feedback and review – Corrections, tips for improvement, and a quick recap of key points.
6. Optional homework – Short, focused tasks to reinforce learning without overload.
