About Sabik
I've been writing since I was a kid but have committed to more serious matters in the last four years. I plan to begin querying agents for my current fiction novel WIP some time between mid-October (2018) and November 1st (2018). Other than that, I have plenty more stories both planned and in the works. I can offer expertise in plot and story structure, character design and development, worldbuilding, dialogue, prose, etc.

I can't imagine lessons would need to be in person (but I am open to the idea), so as long as you speak and plan to write in English, I can teach you from anywhere in the world through the magic of the internet. We will write at your pace, and I will take care to keep you feeling comfortable and inspired.
I actually have a few thoughts on how a lesson could occur, so consider these as options:
1.) The student will bring me their WIP(s) and ask for critique. I will read their work in its entirety and provide feedback either every 5k-10k words or at the end. (Yes, this means I will beta-read for you).
2.) The student will come to me with ideas but little-to-no written work, and I will help them to put those ideas into words.
3.) The lessons will be for informed practice: I will prompt the student upon arrival at the session, they will be allotted half of the lesson's overall time to write a story based on the prompt, and the last half of the session's time will be spent discussing and critiquing their work.
4.) Each lesson will be focused on a different aspect of storytelling in general (like character design, worldbuilding, realistic dialogue, figurative language, etc). There will be little-to-no actual writing during the sessions (unless you count taking notes).
Regardless of whatever kind of lesson is being taught, it is possible in any of the sessions for any of the following to be implemented: analysis of literature, analysis of poetry, writing poetry, random prompts and subsequent timed writing-sessions, discussion of the elements of story, grammar lessons, spelling quizzes, games and other exercises/activities, homework, etc.
These types of sessions can be mixed and matched depending on the student and are not necessarily mutually-exclusive. I am also open to suggestions, so don't be afraid to suggest your own ideas for how you might learn best.
I am excited to teach anyone who is interested in my passion, regardless of their age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc, so don't be afraid to reach-out! What happens in the lessons will be fun and exciting, and I will keep records of old writing in the event that a long-time student wants to see how much they've grown. If I help a student enough that they are published I will gladly buy their book and give reviews upon request. I might also be inspired enough by your stories to draw art of your characters free-of-charge!

Details
Samples of my writing and poetry can be made available upon request.
Unless you've paid for multiple lessons at once you can cancel at any time, no questions asked. If a lesson is missed (without warning), we can try our best to reschedule it for a small fee, and, unless it was paid for in a bundle, it will not be charged in-full until the lesson is completed (if it ever is). There may, of course, be exceptions to this rule, however.
I actually don't have a webcam (nor do I know another language (yet), so I cannot expressly teach English). I will gladly speak with my students with voice-chat, however, (preferably through Discord) and will also gladly share my screen with them and allow them to share theirs.
