About Frances
I have more than 30 years writing - books, articles, and poetry - in English. I have prepared and delivered publically my own presentations in English, and prepared presentations for, as well as proof-read, coached and taught others in the use of English in their personal and professional lives. I understand the challenge of speaking English as a second language, so I can work with almost anyone, from beginners to executives in business and industry.

To aid students, I use a variety of approaches designed to engage as much as possible their five senses.
- 25% of the time dedicated to the basics - vocabulary, grammar, and structure using textbooks, exercises, and everyday items like publications, books, and items in the home to build comprehension.
- 50% of the time dedicated to speaking and interaction to build confidence
- 25% of the time working on targeted needs of the individual student
- Students are given the topic, resources, and vocabulary to be covered in the next class for study and preparation
- At the beginning, the student and I agree on what the student would like to achieve. This allows me to customize my approach for best results
