About Ursula

Writer, editor, translator and freelance journalist. 2018: I taught at the Postgraduate in Marketing and Advertising at the Universidad Iberoamericana. 2005-Current: I have been co-editor of three national magazines, I have collaborated in print and digital media in Mexico, the United States, Colombia and Peru (Gatopardo, GQ, Tierra Adentro, Where to go, among others). I write professionally for fourteen years. 2013-2015: I was a recipient of the Fulbright study abroad scholarship with which I completed a Master's Degree in Creative Writing at Sarah Lawrence College. I had the FONCA scholarship for Young Creators in the areas of novels (2017) and short stories (2011) and the scholarship of the Foundation for Mexican Letters (2010). I have a storybook published (That fine membrane, Tierra Adentro, 2014) and my texts are published in twelve story anthologies.

About the lesson

I like that my classes are interactive, I always engage in dialogue with my students and I structure my classes based on their particular interests. I have taught postgraduate classes at the Universidad Iberoamericana, but I have also given writing and literature workshops to young people recently graduated from high school. So I am used to adapt my classes to all types of students.
