About Maizee
I am happy to work with YOU! You are a unique student with a unique identity and a unique set of goals. Therefore, I am happy to meet you where you are at. I am currently a writing specialist for the University of Pittsburgh and have worked for three years as an adjunct English professor. Further, I am hoping to become a doctoral candidate within the next year.

1. I utilize a collaborative, student-driven practice wherein I customize my content and lessons to meet students' unique backgrounds/identities/needs/etc.
2. I typically work with students on breaking their assignments/papers into manageable bites. We usually start with an outline of ideas and a daily or weekly plan for the assignment. Then, we begin with silly first drafts until we are ready to execute our second, more serious draft. Lesson plans are designed to demystify writing and help students manage their own mental processes.
3. I approach each student differently as a unique person with unique learning needs. Consequently, I attempt to make learning as demystified - and dare I say, fun - as possible.
4. I tend to teach undergraduates College Writing, Research Writing, etc.
