About Tom
Although I was born and raised in the U.S., for most of the last 20 years I've lived in South and South-East Asia. Additionally, I've worked in the private sector - holding positions such as Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Sales - as well as the nonprofit sector - including having started and run my own nonprofit for several years - and academia as an adjunct professor and lead researcher. Beyond these professional experiences, I have a range of diverse interests. I played college basketball, I played in several jazz bands when I was younger and I have taught Buddhist meditation for almost 25 years. All of these experiences have generally provided background from which I'm able to relate to and have an interesting conversation with almost anyone, especially my students.
