No word is enough to describe the height and depth of Mr. Jose K. Chacko as a Professor and human being. He has been one of the most celebrated teachers among his students and colleagues for his multi-faceted talents and skills. Enchanted by his magnetic personality and inventive teaching strategies, I have accepted him as my best teacher who has rebuilt and raised me to the level of an outstanding teacher as recognised by the Royal Government of Bhutan. The Education Division of Bhutan entrusted Mr. Jose K. Chacko with numerous responsibilities for his ability and reliability as an educator. It will be a voluminous book if I write my blissful learning and growing experiences with Mr. Jose for three decades.

I am pleased to recommend Mr. Jose K Chacko of Kottayam, Kerala, India, and to attest to his resourcefulness, dedication, and passion as both a teacher and teacher educator.
I have known Mr. Jose, as I usually call him, since 1997, first as the Principal of the Higher Secondary School where he served as a teacher, and later as the District Education Officer, during which time he distinguished himself as an outstanding teacher trainer. I have had close contact with him when he was a Professor at the Teacher Training College. All these close interactions have had happened during his distinguished service in Bhutan.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jose consistently impressed colleagues with his creativity, initiative, and commitment to educational excellence. His innovative contributions as a classroom teacher include the establishment of a school broadcasting service, the promotion of reading culture through visits to schools across the district, the introduction of a seniors’ academic guardianship programme for junior students, and the use of school assembly sessions for post-test analysis and academic reflection.
Among his many noteworthy achievements is the publication by students of Heard from Grandparents, an anthology of oral folk tales of Bhutan, which helped preserve and promote cultural heritage while fostering students’ literary skills. Beyond the school level, Mr. Jose has made significant contributions to education as a member of the National English Curriculum Committee, a panelist for university B.A. degree validation, and a presenter of research papers at international conferences.
Mr. Jose combines professional competence with vision, initiative, and a deep commitment to the development of learners and educators alike. He is, without doubt, an asset to the teaching profession and any institution is fortunate enough to engage his services.
