About Iris
Hi! I’m a guitar tutor with over 11 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on guitar. I love helping students discover the joy of playing while expressing themselves through music. My teaching emphasizes building strong technique, practical fluency, and solid music theory knowledge. I guide students across the fretboard, helping them connect what they learn to real musical expression. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, goals, and personal style. I work with a variety of genres, including Classical, Jazz, Electric, Acoustic, and Bass guitar. Improvisation, chord exploration, and musical phrasing are all part of my approach. I encourage students to use music as a tool for emotional expression and stress relief. I focus on creating a supportive and motivating environment where students feel confident experimenting and performing. From beginners to advanced players, I help them build skills step by step. My goal is not just to teach guitar, but to inspire a lifelong passion for music. Every lesson is interactive, practical, and fun, designed to help students grow technically, creatively, and emotionally. Playing guitar becomes more than notes—it becomes a way to communicate, connect, and create.

I specialize in a variety of guitar styles, including Classical and Jazz, helping students master technique, phrasing, and musical expression. Alongside traditional skills, I integrate music as a tool for stress relief and emotional expression. Playing guitar becomes a way to relax, release feelings, and boost confidence.
Students are encouraged to explore improvisation and songwriting, developing their creativity and personal style. I provide personalized guidance to ensure everyone progresses at their own pace. Regular practice and performance exercises help build self-assurance.
I also incorporate music theory, chord work, and ear training to strengthen understanding and versatility. Lessons are interactive, fun, and meaningful. My goal is not only skill development but also nurturing a lasting passion for music.
