About Nyla
I’ve been doing music my whole life.
Starting as early as age 4 and playing piano and writing songs at age 7.
As I got older I attended a performing arts charter school from 6-11th grade studying music theory and vocal for about 5 years straight.
Graduating early I came all the way to New York to study music business and have been working with kids ever since my arrival 5 years ago. Now I’m a full-time elementary music teacher- teaching theory to all ages K-5th grade!
I may be young but I am definitely well-rounded and educated.

Lessons will include interactive videos, movement, and games! These lessons will be structured in 4 parts, with 3 activities and a spot in the class that gives kids downtime with a brain or body break. My classes are fun because they aren’t lecture-based; they are activity, discussion, and writing-based! The student will always be doing something.
