About Salma

Hello! I’m really interested in tutoring because I often find that helping others achieve their academic goals is something that brings me a sense of joy and fulfilment. I used to struggle with certain subjects and I would feel quite embarrassed by this. But I dedicated time to cement my knowledge of them and now I’ve become much more confident in them, and I wish to inspire this confidence into other students as well. With regards to academia, although I don’t yet have my GCSE grades I have been consistently been predicted all 9s (bar an 8 in English Literature), highlighting my academic competence. Furthermore, at my school (which I will not name as I still attend it) I have received two academic scholarships.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Salma and I’m 16 years old. I’d like to teach students in a way that (almost) guarantees success in exams, using both exam board feedback, past exam papers and model answers. A lesson could last anywhere between 30 minutes and 1hr, and I’d set homework (typically practice of what we did in lessons) which I would review and use to help shape future sessions. I have not yet received my GCSE grades, but in the Mock examinations I received all 9s apart from English Lit and English Lang (where I received a 7 and an 8 respectively). These lessons would be targeted at GCSE students (Year 9s/10s as of June 2025, however I am also open to tutoring those in younger years (Years 7 & 8).
