About Nahyan
I am a Year 9 student in Dubai who believes the best way to master Math is through clear, step-by-step logic. Because I am currently sitting the same types of exams as my students, I know exactly which topics are challenging and how they are being tested in 2026. I don’t just provide answers; I work alongside the student to make sure they actually understand the "why" behind the numbers.
My Approach
My sessions are focused on active practice. I use a mix of digital and traditional methods, working through problems on an iPad for clear visual notes, while also using a notebook to map out the logic and solve equations alongside the student. I ask for a photo of the lesson notes at least 18 hours before we meet so I can see exactly how their school expects the problems to be solved. This ensures we don't waste a single minute and can jump straight into fixing any foundation gaps.
Why This Works
As a student, I can speak the same language as my peers and younger years. I help them identify the small pieces from previous years that they might have missed, which are making their current work feel difficult. My goal is to build their confidence through consistent practice so they can handle their assessments without the stress.

I don’t believe in boring lectures. My method is simple: we work directly from the student's own school notes. I ask for these 18 hours in advance so I can see exactly how their teacher explains a topic.
During our session, we use my iPad and Apple Pencil to solve problems together in real-time. We don't move on until the "foundation gaps" (the old stuff they forgot) are fixed. By the end of the hour, the student has a clear, digital set of notes that makes sense to them, not just the teacher.
I usually do 60-minute sessions. This is enough time to master one big topic or fix a few smaller gaps without the student losing focus.
My Background & Experience
I am a Year 9 student in Dubai currently taking the same types of exams as my students. My "qualification" is that I am in the classroom every day; I know which topics are actually difficult and which "shortcuts" actually work. I have experience helping friends and younger neighbors improve their grades by breaking down complex classroom talk into simple, logical steps.
I provide Mathematics support for students from Year 5 through Year 9. My goal is to make sure no student feels "left behind" because of a topic they didn't fully grasp a year or two ago.
Year 5 – 6 (Upper Primary): I help younger students master the "building blocks"—things like fractions, decimals, and word problems—so they feel 100% confident moving into secondary school.
Year 7 – 8 (Key Stage 3): This is where Math starts to get abstract. I help students bridge the gap between basic arithmetic and the start of Algebra and Geometry, making sure their "mental toolkit" is ready for higher-level work.
Year 9 (Current Curriculum): Since I am currently in Year 9 myself, I work with peers to tackle the exact topics we are seeing in the 2026 curriculum. We focus on breaking down complex Algebra, Surds, and Sequences into steps that actually make sense for our upcoming exams.
