About Rosa
As someone who has just completed their A-level (and Pre-U) qualifications I know exactly how terrifying it feels to be sitting important exams. I have previously worked in a primary school for a few weeks, helping struggling students, but I also have experience working to help my peers, marking essays, creating revision materials and having organised GCSE help sessions.

I fundamentally believe that when studying a subject the most valuable thing you can possibly have is enthusiasm, subsequently, it is this which is at the core of every lesson I plan. Enthusiasm works to create a fun classroom environment, in which students do not just revise content but also develop skills that are applicable both to a specific academic qualification and wider study.
I primarily teach at a GCSE (or iGCSE) level, and thus I aim for most of my lessons to involve both the kinds of activities that increase enthusiasm for a subject, making revision far more bearable, and the strong focus on exam technique necessary for success at this stage. This is something I believe is done best through work on essays, exam style questions, and the development of analytical skills, a theory supported by my own success in similar qualifications, having obtained grades A* and 9 at English Literature and English Language GCSE respectively.
