About Nelson
I am Nelson Maltby, aged 17 currently studying for my HSC, I am a consistently an A level student and have taken a University course which has guaranteed early entry into UOW and counts towards my University degree.
I am putting out applications to tutor students younger then myself as I believe a child in high school or Primary school who believes they need tutoring will have an overall better experience with someone closer to their age, a person who can understand perhaps their stresses or why they don't understand problems better then perhaps an older person. I believe in making a connection and a nice environment with a student to ease the process of tutoring and never making someone feel upset or like they may be stupid. I understand those feelings from my own experiences so I want to be able to help people who may need it.
I am very confident as a person and in my work, I am school captain and fight for what I believe is right.
I understand studying can be a drag so I will make the tutoring environment as fun as possible for a student.

I have previous experience in tutoring year 6 level students as well as some year 8 students in Science.
A lesson will be driven by what a student needs to focus on or may need that extra bit of help understanding, or it can be on homework or even just a peer to peer/support session.
The typical length of a session could range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, this will mainly depend on the student and what they are needing at the time, this is highly flexible, I can support your schedules.
My lessons are mainly focused for people aged 5-16 (K-Yr 11) but I have the most experience with ages 12-16.
The student can have any level of understanding of their topic, the goal of tutoring is to expand and help refine their knowledge, and the topic can be anything the student needs help with, from Maths, to English, or Science.

Details
Session can be done in groups if that is what the students wish and may give students an easier time adjusting if participating with a class mate. If this method is chosen cheaper rates can be discussed. (Rough limit of 5 people per group)
