Personalization begins with clarity. Every note matters.
Before we build a syllabus, I conduct a diagnostic skills check to locate your current strengths. My Bachelor of Music degree from UBC grounds the way I teach maintenance and tuning. We navigate complex lead guitar sections while keeping the music alive.
I expect accuracy from advanced learners and self-taught players alike. This is a space for serious inquiry. My teaching style is direct and focused.

Performance halls across Canada provided the stage for my 8 years of classical and folk touring. The stage lights dim and the quiet concentration of a solo performance reveals the true necessity of technical clarity. I teach fingerpicking and blues progressions to advanced learners and teens with the same intensity I bring to my own concert work.
My background at the UBC School of Music ensures that every technical hurdle is met with structural understanding. Being a classical-folk crossover musician means I value both electric technique and nuanced ear training. 239 students have walked through these doors to build their own unique sound.
