About Ritika
I am a Physics tutor with a degree in Physics with Philosophy and over eight years of experience. My passion is guiding middle school students as they learn the fundamentals of forces and motion. I use hands-on experiments, like balloon rockets or marble races, to introduce new concepts. These activities are fun and make abstract ideas easier to understand. I also bring physics to life with real-world examples from sports, rides, and everyday experiences. This approach shows students that science is all around them. I know that starting physics can be daunting, so I provide clear explanations and lots of encouragement. My lessons are built around small, achievable steps that build confidence. Problem-solving scenarios are included to strengthen understanding. I always nurture curiosity, encouraging students to ask “why” and “how.” Over time, learners develop both skills and enthusiasm. I believe middle school is the perfect time to make physics engaging. Together, we’ll make the subject fun, relatable, and easy to understand.

My physics teaching approach is designed to connect science to engineering applications. I believe concepts like statics, dynamics, and fluid flow are best understood through real-world problems. Materials science is one of my favorite areas to use, as it shows why engineers choose one material over another. I bring fluid dynamics alive with examples from turbines, sports, and hydropower systems. For statics and dynamics, I use bridges, machines, and even rollercoasters as teaching tools. These examples help students appreciate the usefulness of physics. My sessions are relaxed but focused on building understanding. I encourage learners to ask questions and solve problems step by step. Mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process. For students interested in teaching or computational modeling, I help them build deeper insight. The aim is to make physics practical and meaningful. Over time, learners see the subject as a partner in solving problems. Let’s make physics relevant to your engineering career.
