About Amira

I am a piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. My teaching approach is built on developing critical thinking, strong musicality, and individualized learning for each student. I believe that every pianist’s journey is unique, so I design lessons that reflect both personal goals and long-term growth. I focus not only on technique but also on holistic development, which includes music theory, ear training, and history. These areas deepen understanding and help students connect with music beyond the notes. By combining structured practice with creative exploration, I guide students to become both skilled and expressive performers. Over the years, I have supported learners from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels, as well as those working at Professional and Expert stages. I take pride in helping students strengthen their technique while also building confidence in interpretation and performance. My lessons encourage independence, curiosity, and discipline, which are essential for lasting progress. I create a supportive space where students feel motivated to take risks and explore their musical identity. With patience and clear guidance, I make sure each step of learning feels both rewarding and inspiring. Whether your aim is academic study, performance, or personal growth, I am here to guide you. Let’s begin your musical journey with confidence and creativity, and bring out the best in your piano playing.

My teaching approach for piano is structured, creative, and flexible to suit the needs of each student. I believe learning the piano should build both skill and passion, so I combine technical training with creative exploration. From the start, I focus on developing strong foundations in posture, technique, and musical understanding. I also guide students through music theory, as it is essential for building confidence and independence at the instrument. For learners preparing for exams, I offer structured training for ABRSM, Rockschool, and A-Level music, covering performance, theory, and aural skills. Alongside this, I introduce students to music history, helping them connect more deeply with the pieces they play. For students who want to play popular styles, I provide step-by-step methods to master chords, rhythm, and improvisation. For those interested in jazz, I focus on harmony, phrasing, and freedom in performance. I also encourage composition and creativity, allowing students to experiment with their own ideas and develop a personal sound. My lessons are a balance of structure and flexibility, ensuring progress while keeping music enjoyable. I use practical exercises, listening, and repertoire to make learning complete and engaging. I also provide tailored guidance for students who want to perform, write, or simply enjoy music as a lifelong skill. Most importantly, I create a supportive space where students can explore their strengths and grow at their own pace. My goal is to help every learner succeed—whether through exams, performance, or personal creativity—while enjoying the journey of music.
