About Frank
I am a retired university lecturer. I still love my subject, and I am motivated to share that with younger learners. As well as teaching at years 1 to 4 at university level (and also at MSc level), I have lots of experience at doing demonstration-lectures, with explanations tailored to GCSE or A-level audiences. p-block, s-block and organometallic chemistry are my specialties. I also know lots about polymer synthesis and characterisation. I am PhD (Strathclyde), and have been a Research Fellow of Queens' College Cambridge, and a lecturer at Trinity College Dublin, and UMIST, then University of Manchester, in the UK. I was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

I would base lessons on the level you are at, taking you to where you need to be. I will always try to provide a story, based on layers of 'because', to allow you to build real understanding, which is much harder to forget than is rote learning.
