About Amy

I am passionate about helping children build confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed academically. I specialize in supporting students who struggle with reading, spelling, writing, and foundational learning skills, including children with dyslexia and ADHD. Through individualized instruction and evidence-based approaches, including Orton-Gillingham-based reading programs, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where every student can grow at their own pace. I believe every child has the ability to learn and succeed when given the right tools, guidance, and support. My goal is to help students strengthen their skills, gain confidence, and discover their potential as learners.

About the lesson

I use the Barton Reading and Spelling System, which is a structured, hands-on program designed to help students ages 5 and up develop confidence and proficiency in reading, writing, and spelling. Lessons focus on teaching foundational skills clearly and thoroughly, allowing students to build a strong understanding of each concept before moving on to the next. I emphasize mastery at every stage to ensure students feel confident in their progress.
