About Amber
Completing my 4th year as a Doctor of Medicine Candidate at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine means I spend 5 years refining how I explain tricky science. Sometimes I feel like a translator for molecular structures because my tutoring covers organic chemistry mechanisms for pre-med students who need clarity. I know exactly which topics the AAMC tests hardest and how to build fluency there. My expertise includes resonance and acidity plus the complexities of curved-arrow notation and stereochemistry.
I also clarify reaction mechanisms and carboxylic acids to ensure you grasp the logic behind SN1 and SN2 reactions. I help students handle alcohols, ethers, IR, mass spectrometry, and carbonyl chemistry with ease.
Even synthesis pathways become manageable when you understand the fundamental rules. I have worked with many individuals to refine these core concepts. Building a clear mental model of the subject is the central focus of my method.

Pacing matters more than anything else when tackling complex chemical pathways. Honestly, some mechanisms look like impossible puzzles until we strip away the noise. My approach emphasizes weekly mechanism drills with feedback to ensure you retain the patterns.
You will see steady progress through consistent practice. These sessions are designed specifically for university students retaking orgo and IB or A-level chemistry pupils.
I leverage my medical background to keep the content relevant. We work through problems together to spot common errors. Hard concepts stop feeling overwhelming once we break them into small steps.
Expect a focused environment that rewards your effort. Consistency is the primary engine behind your technical improvement.
