About Emily
Do you feel like you are memorizing patterns without truly understanding the underlying logic? I address this by providing all students with free access to my private reaction-mechanism notes during our sessions.
During these 5 years of coaching, I have found that students often struggle with the same core hurdles in organic chemistry. We move through difficult concepts at a pace that ensures retention and accuracy.
My goal is to ensure you feel confident before stepping into the testing center. I draw on my current work as a 4th year medical candidate to connect abstract theories to practical science. Because I focus on exactly what the AAMC tests, we eliminate wasted effort.
This is how we build the high-level fluency required for top scores. It is genuinely rewarding to watch a student go from confusion to mastery.

Teaching organic chemistry requires a disciplined approach that balances technical rigor with clear communication. Having spent 5 years in this field, I have guided over 100 students through the complexities of isomerism, functional groups, and carboxylic acids. My path to becoming a doctor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine has given me deep insight into the testing patterns of the AAMC.
I specialize in breaking down IR and mass spectrometry, carbonyl chemistry, and the nuances of SN1 and SN2 reactions. My methods emphasize curved-arrow notation and elimination reactions because these foundational tools are critical for success in medical exams. I prioritize helping pre-meds and college chemistry majors build genuine fluency in these topics. Are you ready to organize your study process and finally conquer these reactions?
